Help Yourself 5

by Help Yourself

  • Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

This remarkable 'long lost' finale to the recorded works of Help Yourself was originally released on CD by HUX in 2004 and has long been unavailable. This special release aims to put that right and marks the first time Help Yourself 5 has been produced on vinyl. Just 500 copies were pressed by Sugarbush, 100 of which have been signed by Malcolm Morley and Dave Charles.

Uniquely, all proceeds from the sale of this special edition go to the band members. The signed edition includes the inner sleeve that was included in only a limited number of the regal Sugarbush edition. This features an essay by Ptolemaic Terrascope magazine's Phil McMullen. Also included is a numbered certificate of authenticity to prove provenance. Just 100 certificates have been produced, allocated to buyers at random... thus you may be the 44th person to buy, but you could still get certificate number one!

(Editor's note ~ neither Malcolm or Dave has issue number one, so it is still out there and up for grabs!).

Long-time Help Yourself fans will recognise the cover illustration – Rick Griffin's 'Wrench Boy', painted in response to the famous artist hearing some of the tracks when they were initially recorded (but subsequently not released) back in the 1970s. Sadly, the original painting was lost in the Californian fires during the summer of 2018, before we were able to scan it at a high enough resolution to reproduce at LP size. For that reason, the sleeve design here differs from the earlier HUX CD release.

The cost of the LP includes the digital download files of the album.

Sadly, shipping costs these days are expensive. Because of this we are simply passing on the cost to you ~ there is no mark up on packing or postage costs.

All postage and packing costs include a premium LP outer that is designed to protect the sleeve and vinyl in transit.

For all non UK, US and Europe deliveries, please contact us for a postage cost. Bandcamp 'forces' a rest of the world price in order to place non-digital items for sale. The high cost we have guesstimated here is purely to get around this hurdle. This is NOT the postage cost!

For multiple purchases to the same address, please contact us for more favourable postage rates.
